Short Code Brand Vetting Stages
1. Data Submission
Once your application has been submitted, there are a number of steps that happen to verify your brand.
2. Triage
- Is the vetting record complete?
- Does the legal name match FEIN?
- Is brand contact email valid?
- Does the email domain relate to the company’s published URL?
- If triage criteria are not met, an Incomplete status is issued without further processing
3. Authentication
- Send PIN email to brand contact (see “Email Verification Notes” below)
- Brand visits AegisCertify URL and supplies PIN and name of individual completing 2FA
- Gating factor for completion of vet is automatically satisfied once PIN verification is complete
- Performed in parallel with vetting evaluation
4. Vetting Evaluation
- Address verification
- Contact details
- State business registration
- Web presence
- Financial stability
- Legal, regulatory, and trust
5. Disposition
- Successful
- Incomplete
- Unsuccessful
Email Verification Notes
- If submitted email is allowable and triage is passed, an Aegis branded email is sent to the brand contact from sender:
certify@aegismobile.com
. - Brand visits the provided secure URL (with a
certify.myaegisapp.com
domain), enters the name and title of the person responding to the multifactor authentication, and enters the provided PIN - Once successfully completed, the PIN verification will be recorded as part of the vetting record and opens the gate for completion of the vet once all other actions are complete
